What they offer

Pups n People is a positive-reinforcement training business in Otisfield run by Laurie Wood, a Karen Pryor Academy certified trainer and Family Paws Parent Educator. It specializes in family dog training, reactive dog support and helping dogs adjust to a new baby or toddler, using strictly reward-based methods with no corrections.

Private in-home training

Family dog training packages help a new-to-you dog or an untrained adult dog become well-mannered at home and in daily life, and puppy training packages cover socialization, manners and early problem-solving. Targeted training sessions focus on one or two problems such as leash walking, jumping, separation anxiety, potty training, crate training, recall and greeting manners.

Dogs and babies

Homecoming coaching prepares the dog and the family for a new baby with body-language education, a safety plan, management and calm-behavior training. A dog and toddler program covers safety and overstimulation, and Ready for Baby is offered as an in-person group class and as a live virtual class.
