About Quail Creek Kennel & Training

Kennel, training and grooming in Robinson

Quail Creek K-9 Services is a dog boarding, training and grooming business in Robinson serving the Central Texas area. It has been in business with its present owners, Sue Shapley and Gina Bujalski, since November 2008, and the owners also raise and show champion Belgian Malinois.

Training

Training options include a 28-day board and train package, Doggie Boot Camp and private lessons, run from the Quail Creek K-9 Training Center at 705 S. Robinson Drive. Several dogs are boarded at any time while attending boot camp or the 28-day program.

Boarding and care

The kennels at 293 Hillside Drive have separate covered runs with indoor shelter in a climate-controlled area, and the facility has been expanded several times. Dog boarding is $35 a night, with discounts for additional dogs and higher rates for large, intact or geriatric dogs; playtime or a country walk adds $9. Dog therapy and playtime suit dogs with torn ACLs or other limits on heavy exercise. Cats board at $27 a night. Call (254) 662-5620 to reserve.

What to ask

Ask which training methods the board and train and boot camp programs use, and who leads the private lessons.
