About Rising Peak Dog Training

Dog training from Syracuse

Rising Peak Dog Training is based in Syracuse and serves Davis County, Weber County and locations within 30 minutes of Syracuse. Its stated mission is to build trust, connection and communication between owners and their dogs.

The trainer

Trainer Jessica has been working with dogs for the past 16 years, starting with a German Shepherd whose behavioral issues introduced her to training and protection sports. She trained in PSA (Protection Sports Association) for 2 years and trained and competed in French Ring Sport for 7 years, both of which demand a high level of off-leash control. She also spent 4 years with Joe Dickinson at Dog Training 360, interning and completing her Dog Trainer's Course.

Approach

Jessica's philosophy is that every dog needs its own mix of methods, so she uses the techniques and tools that best fit each dog and owner. She works with dogs at their own pace and focuses on goals such as obedience, confidence, connection and behavior modification, and she enjoys teaching owners how their own actions shape their dog's behavior. Training is sold in specific packages, and a 10% discount is available for military, veterans, first responders, nurses and teachers, and for adopted dogs and puppies with proof.
