About Rylee’s Ranch Boarding and Training LLC

What they offer

Rylee's Ranch Boarding and Training is Sara Harris's kennel at 4330 169th Ave SW in Rochester, on five fully fenced acres with a large yard for the dogs to run and play. She opened it in June 2021. The kennel holds at most five dogs, so board and train clients get individual sessions and boarding guests get many chances out of their kennels each day.

Training

The training menu covers basic obedience and manners, behavior modification, advanced competitive obedience, rally, shed hunting, scent work and urban locating, which is scent work for rodents, along with help for owners entering AKC, ASCA and NASDA events. Board and train starts with a consultation, after which the dog stays at the ranch and trains daily for a length agreed at that meeting. Private lessons focus on fixing problem behaviors or on fun exercises that strengthen the bond between owner and dog.

About the trainer

Sara Harris started training dogs through 4-H in 2007 and competed in AKC and ASCA obedience and rally. She worked as a veterinary technician and then spent almost four years at a training and boarding kennel in Olympia before opening the ranch. Her approach is balanced and adjusted to each dog's learning style.
