Salty Paws Dog Training is a Wellington-based trainer working with dog owners across Palm Beach and Broward County, from Boynton Beach and Delray to Boca Raton, Parkland and Coral Springs. Trainer Zac describes himself as a balanced dog trainer who uses engagement, motivation and clear communication. His path into training came through his own highly reactive long coat Shepherd, Blu, and the hundreds of hours he spent working with her alongside a professional trainer. Every program starts with a free 15 minute consult.

Programs and prices

Salty Beginnings individual lessons are tailored to the owner's goals: sit, down, heel, place and come, a reliable recall, loose leash walking and a solid place command. Packages are 4 lessons for $500, 6 for $600 or 8 for $750, used within 3 months. Salty Stays is a 3-week board and train in Zac's home for $2,950, with multiple sessions a day, off-leash e-collar work, threshold and crate manners, confidence building and field trips including beach outings, plus video updates and a take-home session. Tools for the board and train cost $275-$300.

The Salty family extras include a junior handler program for kids, group pack walks and field trips, and boarding for dogs Salty Paws has trained.
