About Seraph K9

Seraph K9 is based in Hickory – its About page states "At Seraphk9 in Hickory, North Carolina" – and covers an unusually wide span for a business of its size, from puppy foundations through to police and personal-protection work. It publishes no street address and works by appointment, with posted hours of Monday to Friday 8 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 2.

What you can book here

The published program list runs: Puppy Preschool, Private Lessons, Board & Train, Day Training, Police K9 and Personal Protection Dogs. The business frames all of it around owner goals – "our commitment is to assist you and your dog in reaching your goals" – and its FAQ says session frequency depends on the dog and the program, with weekly sessions the usual starting point.

How they work with owners

The FAQ is explicit that owners are wanted in the room: "we encourage owners to participate and observe training sessions. This not only strengthens the bond between you and your dog but also helps you understand the training techniques being used." On timing, the business recommends starting basic obedience as early as eight weeks old while adding that "it's never too late to begin training, and we can tailor programs for dogs of all ages."

Something to check before you call

The site also runs a small retail side, selling dog food and equipment alongside the training. It describes "certified Master Trainers," which is worth asking about directly if credentials matter to you, since no registry exists that would let anyone verify that phrase from the outside.
