Speaking Dog Is Ruff is a Moscow dog training and behavior modification business with the motto "Science that builds lasting relationships, one paw at a time!" Owner and behavior modification specialist Katrina Sim began training dogs at age 12 through 4-H, went on to compete in dog shows, and earned a BAS degree with a focus on animal behavior science. She has been helping owners and dogs understand each other for over a decade. Behavior specialist Luci Johnson works alongside her.

Services

Training is personalized around how each dog learns, starting with a consultation, usually about two hours in the client's home, to assess behavior and set goals. Sessions of 45 minutes to an hour follow, at home or online, and most clients finish in 6 to 9 sessions, paid session by session. Services include puppy training, adolescent support, obedience and manners, scent work, rally, trick dog, service dog training for handlers training their own dogs, behavior modification, aggression assessments and rehabilitation, and cat behavior. The Puppy Head Start program for puppies under 6 months covers potty training, biting, barking, crate training, socialization and handling, with a puppy guide and text support.
