About Sublime K9 Dog Training – Long Island Dog Training

Sublime K9 is an in-home training company based in Wantagh – the address block on every page reads Wantagh, NY 11793 – founded by Jessica Freedman. The site says twice, without hedging, that the business has no facility: every program is delivered in the client's home.

A published, and shrinking, territory

Sublime K9 is the only trainer in this directory's Nassau set that publishes its exact service towns and says why the list exists. The site states that demand for its services led it to reduce its territory, and then lists what remains: Bellmore, Bethpage, East Meadow, Farmingdale, Freeport, Hicksville, Levittown, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, Merrick, Old Bethpage, Old Westbury, Plainview, Seaford, Syosset, Wantagh, Westbury, and over the Suffolk line Amityville, Copiague and Lindenhurst. For a South Shore owner that removes the usual guesswork about whether a trainer will actually drive out.

Four published programs

Obedience training is described as the foundation of the relationship between owner and dog. The puppy program is a puppy preschool aimed at puppies under four months, with the site arguing it is never too early to start. Dog Manners is sold on a specific scenario – arriving at a friend's or a relative's house with a dog that behaves. Therapy Dog Training is the fourth, framed around what an owner needs to know if their dog has the temperament for the work.

Credentials as published

The site names professional membership of the International Association of Canine Professionals, the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, and certified professional dog trainers on staff, and describes 25 years of combined experience across its trainers.

What the published cases look like

The success stories the business chooses to show are ordinary household problems solved in a handful of visits – a corgi that barked uncontrollably at every arrival and departure, a two-year-old rescue pit bull taught to hold a place at the door and to heel, both in about five home visits.
