About SUPERNOVA DOGS

SUPERNOVA DOGS opened in Tonawanda and celebrated its first anniversary in January 2024, and it has grown quickly into one of the fuller class rosters in the Northtowns.

The service list

Seven published services: Puppy Programs, Family Dog Obedience, Dog Sports, Day School, Behavior Training, an Agility League and Ring Rentals. The school states it offers group classes, private training and in-home training for dogs from puppyhood through adulthood.

Why in-home matters here

The site is specific about which problems belong in the house rather than the classroom, naming resource guarding, separation anxiety, inter-household aggression, house training, crate training and reactivity to visitors as issues best addressed in the environment where they occur. Day School, which it calls Supernova University, is aimed at active, high-energy dogs whose desire to work is hard to satisfy through play alone.

The method, as stated

The school describes an explicitly ethical framework built on science-based standards and reinforcement-based strategies, with dogs treated as active participants and partners rather than subjects. Its stated mission is to give owners the techniques to build trusting partnerships, which it argues is both the kindest and the most effective route.

Recognition and community

The site publishes press releases and mentions, including a first-anniversary release in January 2024 and the launch of what it says is the area's first agility league in October 2025, plus a Redfin media mention in 2023. It also hosts classes for Evolution Dog Training, whose seven-week Puppies Unleashed course runs at the Tonawanda facility.
