About Tactical K-9

Kennel run by a law enforcement veteran

Tactical K-9 LLC is a Miami kennel run by founder Cesar Bautista, a law enforcement veteran with more than 30 years with working dogs and family companions. It offers overnight boarding (six dogs per night, seven days a week), dog walking and trust-based training, and serves all of South Florida. Walks run 30 or 60 minutes, from $35 on weekdays and $45 on weekends. Cesar was featured in a Voyage MIA interview.

Training

Training is consult-first: Cesar evaluates the dog and then quotes the program that fits, with a customized plan based on the dog's needs, temperament and goals. In the board and train program, the dog stays with Cesar and works a plan built around its temperament. In-home training brings private sessions to where the dog lives, coaching the whole household so the work holds after the trainer leaves.

What to ask

Ask how long a board and train stay runs and what the quoted program includes after the evaluation.
