About The Civil Dog
What they do
The Civil Dog is an in-home trainer working along the Florida-Georgia line, and its process is published as five numbered steps with prices at each one. It opens with a free thirty-minute phone consult on the dog's behavior and the owner's goals. Step two is the Home Standard Blueprint, a structured plan mapped to the owner's own home, from $200 for ninety minutes. Step three is coaching, from $150 per sixty-minute lesson, with a co-op option if a friend or family member trains alongside. Step four is readiness — testing the training in real-world settings, sessions from $25. Step five is the Civil Dog Society, a continuing membership from $70 a month or $700 a year. Boarding is described as case-by-case and limited, starting at $2,000 with follow-ups included.
Method
The stated philosophy is that training belongs where the behavior happens rather than in a class, "addressing real behaviors in real environments so you get results that actually last." The values listed are structure, boundaries, awareness, trust, respect and communication, and the promise is framed around being able to take the dog along — "What would life look like if your dog could come too?"
Where they work
The service area published on the site spans the state line: Tallahassee, Quincy, Havana, Bradfordville and Monticello on the Florida side, and Moultrie, Camilla, Thomasville, Cairo and Bainbridge on the Georgia side. The business is currently taking applications for early enrollment rather than open booking.
