About The Dog Stop – Knoxville

The Dog Stop Knoxville is the Knoxville location of The Dog Stop franchise, at 4589 Kingston Pike. It carries a 4.8-star Google rating from 228 reviews.

What they publish

The service list is boarding, daycare, grooming, retail and training, with the brand's training program published under the name Dog-ED. The Knoxville site describes "luxury dog boarding accommodations, an interactive and social daycare experience, a spa-like dog grooming retreat, holistic retail store" across an indoor and outdoor facility, with pricing pages for grooming, daycare, boarding and retail and online booking.

Requirements worth knowing

Daycare dogs must "demonstrate appropriate social skills and the ability to play safely with other dogs", assessed on the first day or first overnight stay; a dog judged not a fit is separated from other guests for the rest of the stay and given one-on-one staff time, potty breaks and play sessions instead. Proof of current Bordetella, Parvovirus and Distemper and Rabies vaccinations is required, and puppies must have all three distemper boosters.

Practicalities

Live webcams are published for the indoor and outdoor play areas and for individual luxury and junior suites, so owners can watch a stay. The site warns that Google and Apple map directions to this location are wrong – they are in Western Plaza behind the Fresh Market, across from the Ice Chalet – which is worth knowing before a first drop-off.
