About The Dog Wizard Knoxville

The Dog Wizard Knoxville is the Knoxville location of The Dog Wizard training network. It carries a 4.9-star Google rating from 288 reviews.

What they publish

A wide published program list: day training, board and train, private lessons, group classes, puppy programs, resource guarding, aggression rehabilitation, separation anxiety, socialization, therapy preparation, plus daycare and boarding. Behavior pages are published separately for problem solving, socialization, separation anxiety, aggression rehab and rescue rehab.

How the training runs

They describe themselves as "certified balanced trainers" and "Knoxville's top balanced training program". The published sequence is a free evaluation to assess the dog and build a personalized plan, then a customized training plan run by certified trainers, then hands-on training in in-home or mobile programs, then ongoing support with tools, guidance and follow-ups. Lifetime support after graduation is advertised, and the network states it has been "helping families nationwide" since 2005.

Practicalities

Appointment only, with published hours Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, closed Sunday. They list the areas served as Alcoa, Farragut, Fountain City, Lenoir City, Loudon, Maryville and Oak Ridge. Booking starts by entering a zip code to be matched with a local trainer.

Who it suits

Owners with a specific behavior case – resource guarding, aggression, separation anxiety or a rescue with history – who want a named program for it, and those wanting training delivered at home rather than at a facility. The free evaluation is the route to a quote.
