The team

**Renee Warner — Owner.** "Renee is a Louisville, Kentucky native who grew up always having a passion

for dogs. After graduating from the University of Louisville, she enjoyed careers in yoga teaching and

massage therapy, but above all else, loved spending time with her pup. Her dog, Brego, is truly who led

the way to her Dog Wizard future after going through a Jumpstart program for his leash reactivity.

Brego's dramatic results not only changed her life but instilled a passion in her to help other

families like hers improve their quality of life with their best friend."

**Destiny Spence — Trainer.** Five years' experience, certified through Dog Wizard Academy. She began

in open play at a doggie daycare and moved into training after relocating to Louisville; her notes

record that she "loves bully breeds for motivation and creativity in training" and "excels at client

education and training humans alongside dogs."

**Janay Elliott — Office Manager.** Three years' experience, Dog Wizard Academy certified. She came to

the field after bringing home a pitbull mix with reactivity, trained with The Dog Wizard, and later

moved from trainer to office manager.

Programs

Obedience programs, AKC training, private lessons, group classes, board and train, puppy training

and specialty training, with lifetime support after graduation. Behavior services listed separately

are problem solving (barking, chewing, jumping, begging, counter surfing, digging, leash pulling, play

biting, marking, door bolting, housebreaking), resource guarding, aggression, separation anxiety, an

adopted/rescue dog program and socialization.

Everything begins with a free evaluation. Programs start at $250, and the location states there is

no fixed package: "Each dog owner team that has a free evaluation will have a customized program

designed to fit your specific needs."

Graduates keep access to group classes indefinitely — "Those who complete our obedience programs have

access to indefinite group class training support." Reviewers describe Saturday graduate support

classes.

Method

Balanced training, with the tool choice made jointly with the owner: "The Dog Wizard trainers are well

versed in a variety of training tools; from food to collars to remote collars. We know that not all

dogs do well with every tool and we will help you decide what tool is best for your dog as well as

what tools you're comfortable with using. At the end of the day, whatever tool you're comfortable in

using will be the one you're most consistent in using."
