What they offer

The Dog Zone is a family-owned dog boarding and daycare center on International Way in Longview, open since 1999 and serving Longview, Kelso, Rainier, Cathlamet, Woodland, Castle Rock and Kalama. Alongside boarding, daycare, bathing and a self-wash it runs a training program.

Training classes

Group classes meet one hour a week for six weeks, with separate classes for puppies, adult dogs, small breeds and an intermediate level, and private training is available by the hour. The approach uses praise and treats, with consistency and simple, fun lessons, and the whole family is encouraged to attend so everyone uses the same cues. Classes require current rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella vaccinations as appropriate for the dog's age.

To join a class, call or email with the dog's name, breed, age and spay/neuter status so the center can place the dog in the right class.
