About The Hyper Pup Dog Training
Who they are
The Hyper Pup Dog Training is Armando Morales, working out of a unit on Queensbury Avenue and serving the Glens Falls and Queensbury side of the Capital Region. He describes a path into the work that most trainers will recognize: one dog that pushed every limit he had, no idea what to do about it, and a decision to go and learn. That was more than a decade ago; he now puts the number at 13-plus years and around 500 dogs, ranging from straightforward off-leash obedience cases to what he calls complex behavioral issues — aggression and leash reactivity in particular.
What they offer
Four programs, each with its own page on the site. Board and train is the flagship — in his words, let us do the work for you. Private dog training is the coaching route, where he works with the handler and the dog together. Day training is the middle option, described as results without the overnight stay, so the dog goes home each night. Group classes round it out. Everything starts with a free discovery phone call rather than a booking form, which is worth knowing if you would rather describe the problem to a person before committing to anything.
How they train
He calls himself a balanced trainer and then immediately says the label matters less than the philosophy. His own framing: most dogs do not need more treats, they need more clarity, more structure and more accountability. The part he stresses hardest is the human end of the leash — a dog's confidence and behavior, he writes, are shaped by the handler's mindset, leadership and consistency, which is why he spends as much time coaching people as training dogs. He is also blunt about who he wants to work with: clients who are coachable, invested and ready to make real changes.
Practical details
This is a deliberately small operation. The site describes it as a boutique business working with only a few dogs at a time, and offers what it calls a Lifetime Support Guarantee — continued access to the trainer after the program ends. He publishes being bonded and insured and CPR and first-aid trained. The service area named on the site runs well beyond the metro, from Glens Falls and Queensbury down through Wilton, Malta and Saratoga Springs and out to Halfmoon, Latham and Albany, with Lake George to the north. The discovery call is the way in.
