About PAWS Canine Enrichment Center
Who they are
PAWS Canine Enrichment Center is the Hudson Falls half of North Country Paws For Obedience Inc., a family-owned business run by four named owners — Lora, Bri, Jenn and Will — across two sites. The first opened in 2017 at a small location in South Glens Falls; the Hudson Falls enrichment center, on 32 acres at 4202 Route 4, followed in 2020, and PAWS South, the Canine Adventure and Education Center at Greenfield Center, is the other half. Between them the business says it serves Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties. The owners describe themselves as usually being on site rather than behind a desk — at dog sporting events, assisting day programs, instructing club meets, teaching classes or maintaining the properties.
What they offer
Group coaching is the published core, in two lengths: four weeks at $150 and six weeks at $220, with the site noting that classes are for non-behavioral dogs only and that deeper behavioral concerns go to a consult instead — a distinction more useful to a prospective client than most class listings manage. Around that sit day enrichment programs, seasonal group classes, field socials, educational seminars, a K9 GOALS program and Adirondack Air Dogs, the dock-diving side. PAWS Mobile is the third location in everything but bricks: we come to you. There is also a grooming salon, PAWS Salons, and Project PAWS, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit the family runs alongside the business to support rehoming and rehabilitation of harder cases.
How they train
The framing throughout is enrichment and education rather than obedience delivery — the stated ambition is to provide the area not just a training facility but a resource center for enrichment and education. Practically that shows in the shape of the offer: day programs and field socials sit at the same level as classes rather than below them, and the business runs and attends dog sporting events as a matter of course. The site says all staff are Pet First Aid and CPR certified, with many holding or working toward industry certifications and advanced titles on their own dogs.
Practical details
Booking runs through a Gingr client portal rather than a form, with a facility code published on the site for the mobile app. Sessions are limited and there is a $100 cancellation and no-show fee for group and private bookings; all services and programs are final sale. The Hudson Falls site is on Route 4 north of the village, roughly ten minutes from Glens Falls and a straight run up from Fort Edward, and the 32 acres are the reason the outdoor-heavy programs work here at all.
