About Topnotch K9 Dog Training

Detection work alongside pet dog training

Topnotch K9 Professional Dog Training sits in an unusual spot for a Marengo-area business. Its published list of offerings opens with "Police Canine Narcotics/Explosives Detection Training and Consulting," then moves into pet-facing work: K9 Nose Work scent detection for pet dogs, puppy classes, obedience training, AKC Canine Good Citizen classes and evaluations, problem behavior modification, and both group and private lessons.

Approach

The site states that "every dog has a unique personality and disposition" and that because of this "every dog needs tailored training." It describes itself as "dedicated to providing Force Free pet dog training" and says each program uses "the most advanced techniques based on sound learning theory and established science."

Credentials as published

The site says all trainers are "certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers," and describes the business as a professional premium member of a trainers' association. Ask who will train your dog and what programs cost.
