About Wags2Whiskers Pet Services LLC

A Lake Zurich pet care company with training on the side

Wags 2 Whiskers is primarily a pet sitting, dog walking and cat care business, and the site is candid about that ordering. The about page states: "Owners Tom & Lois Barta CCDT founded Wags2Whiskers Pet Services, LLC in the Spring of 2013. Our goal is to maintain a small company-family feeling no matter how big we grow."

Where training fits

Training appears twice on the site. The home page lists "Basic dog training" and says "Obedience/Manners training is so important to a dogs well being both mentally and physically. Let us help you with your training needs!" The about page is more specific about format: "Dog training groups and private lessons are available as well!" So both group classes and one-to-one lessons are on offer.

The wider service list

Daily dog walking is described as exercise, attention and play while owners are at work. Dog Park Adventures take dogs off leash at local dog parks, and the about page mentions "our new indoor facility for a smaller more contained environment." Pet sitting covers holidays, business trips and last-minute cover, with the reasoning that "some animals don't do well away from home." Cat visits cover feeding, water, play and litter boxes.

Area and fees

The published service area is "Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, Barrington (Lake County), Long Grove, South Mundelein, Wauconda & Deer Park." The site also publishes a surcharge: "We do charge an extra $10 Holiday fee for services booked on the following major holidays," listing New Years Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Easter, Memorial Day and Labor Day.
