What they publish

The offer is private, in-home training, with the business framed entirely around the everyday problems owners actually call about: a dog messing on the floor, chewing slippers or stealing food off the table. Sessions start with a private evaluation. Alongside the training the site publishes a tips-and-tricks section on reinforcing good behavior between sessions and an FAQ covering puppies and older dogs alike.

How the training runs

In-home is the format and the argument for it at once – the training happens in the environment where the behavior happens, and the coaching is directed at the family as much as the dog. The stated goal is that a well-behaved dog enhances the life of the whole household, and the trainer describes training the dog and coaching the family as two halves of the same job.

Who runs it

Katie has been training dogs for twenty years. She is a graduate of the Master Dog Training Program at the National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio, co-owned and worked at a local training facility for several years, and is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. She keeps two Boston Terriers and a mixed breed of her own.
