About Oceanfront Dog Training

Oceanfront Dog Training is a one-person, in-home practice: "Lesa Bevan owner and trainer", with a stated span that few can match – "With over 30 years of experience no problem is too big or too small."

The range

The headline covers it: "OCEANFRONT DOG TRAINING / All levels of Dog Training and Behavioral Modification as well as SERVICE DOG TRAINING!" and the ladder underneath is "Dog Training from Puppy Basics to Advanced Off Leash and Service Dog Training we have you covered! No matter your dogs age, size , or issues we can help you."

How sessions are sold

It starts with a visit rather than a sale: "I will come to your home to meet you and your dog and discuss your goals and training options. We will go over previous training and behavioral problems. This usually takes about an hour." After that, blocks of three or six one-hour sessions are offered, and where they happen is your choice: "Training can be done at your house, the beach, or a local park. It's up to you!"

Two unusually honest lines

On method, this site does something almost no other trainer does – it declines to claim one: "Lessons are tailored to meet your specific goals. Every dog is different so training will be for you and YOUR DOG! We do not use a specific training method." Whether that reads as flexibility or as vagueness is a judgment call, but it is at least stated rather than dressed up.

On scheduling: "We provide In Home Training with times that are convenient for you and your family. Life is hectic, let us come to you! We believe in Quality over quantity. Sometimes appointments will run over an hour but we do not over book so you will never feel rushed to get in all your questions during your visit!"

The boundary

One limit is published and is worth respecting before you call: "We do not travel outside of the Va Beach area." There is no facility, no board and train, no group class and no published price. No certification is claimed.
