About Dog Obedience College

Dog Obedience College, LLC describes itself as a dog trainer serving "Holland, MI and Memphis, TN".

The site states: "Since 2013, Dog Obedience College has proudly served the greater Memphis, Tennessee

area providing highly reliable dog training… Now we are expanding our dog training to Holland,

Michigan and throughout West Michigan!" The West Michigan contact is "616-313-9540" and

info@DogObedienceCollege.com.

Approach

The stated curriculum is built on working in distraction: "Our Certified Trainers use real-life

distractions and situations to teach your pup the obedience and manners needed for a happy and

well-behaved life in your world." The founder's premise is quoted as the reason: "when distractions are

at their highest that's when obedience and manners are needed most!" The examples the site gives of why

owners call are leash pulling, jumping on a neighbor, running out the door, not coming when called,

chewing furniture, chasing a squirrel and growling at somebody.

The mission statement is "to strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners through personalized,

compassionate, and effective training."
