Overview

Sport Dogs Complex is a four-acre, facility-based training and pet-care center in Elkhart, Indiana. It was founded by Deb Jones, whose background is described as 33 years in veterinary medicine, 10 years training a 4H dog club, and seven years training with the United Schutzhund Club of America.

Method

Training is personalized and adapted to each dog's learning style. Programs cover basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, and come, along with behavior modification for issues like leash-pulling and excessive barking. Day-stay programs use engagement obedience training, and off-campus sessions provide real-world practice in public settings.

Services

Dog training options include six-week group obedience classes ($175, with a 12-week repeat at no charge), day-stay obedience training ($60/day), and private one-hour sessions ($100). Dogs must be four months of age or older. The facility also offers daycare, boarding, grooming, and swimming.

What to Expect

Classes are held inside and outside the training building and across the four-acre property. Clients can choose group classes for a structured curriculum or private and day-stay options for a more individualized approach.
