About Laughing Dogs Academy

What they offer

Laughing Dogs Academy is located on Vashon Island and teaches classes and workshops, private lessons and mini friend groups. Its group classes run in four-class sessions plus a bonus class, are open to puppies and adult dogs that are friendly, neutral or shy, and focus on real-life socialization with guided playtime; in summer they meet on Sundays at Frog Holler park. The school works on manners, communication, puppy socialization and help for anxious or reactive dogs, and some students go on to its city dog classes.

How they train

The school teaches in respectful, pain-free and force-free ways, individualizes training to each dog and owner, and emphasizes clear communication with the owner's voice.

About the trainer

Cayce leads the training, described by clients as a training-through-play approach.
