About Maple Leaf K9
Training, socialization and boarding
Maple Leaf K9 is a dog training, socialization and boarding facility at 65 Commerce Street in Williston. It offers board and train programs and private lessons, with follow-up services once a program is complete. Group socialization and enrichment options give dogs a controlled setting to build and maintain social skills, and boarding guests can add services while owners receive updates during the stay.
Approach
Maple Leaf K9 approaches training with compassion and the understanding that every dog expresses the same biological instincts in its own way. Because dogs live in a world built for humans, it sees the owner's and trainer's job as offering empathic, fair and direct guidance and leadership.
The owners
Owners Lyra Anderson and Ross Gruber, the head trainer, are born and raised Vermonters. They have trained, socialized and cared for thousands of dogs over the previous 10+ years in leadership roles at a local dog daycare, training and boarding facility, and continue to learn from leading canine educators.
What owners say
One client wrote that the team is "always giving us feedback, encouragement, and support to help us work through solutions with our boys."
