About Waggles LLC

Classes for basics, sport and problems

Waggles is a dog training school at 91 Merchants Row in Williston offering obedience classes, agility, specialty training, house calls and private lessons. Its motto is love, learning and competition, and classes are described as non-judgmental, family-friendly and fun.

Approach

Waggles teaches a cooperative relationship between dog and handler using positive reinforcement and clicker training, building each behavior through concept, fluency and generalization. Instead of correcting unwanted behavior, owners teach a desired behavior in its place.

Obedience classes

Puppy Class, for puppies 5 months or younger, covers sit, down, coming when called, loose leash walking, bite inhibition, self-control, teething and polite greetings. Basic Obedience, for dogs 6 months and older, covers sit, down, stay with duration and distance, recall, heeling and leave it. Both run six weeks on Tuesday evenings for $225, with a $50 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot and a limit of 6 teams per class. Members, called Wagglers, get discounted prices.
