Pack hikes and walk training in New London

Tom's Dogs is a New London dog walking and pet care business run by founder Tom Grylka. He started walking dogs professionally in September 2023 and built Tom's Dogs into his own business in 2025. It serves New London County towns including Old Lyme, East Lyme, Waterford, Groton, Ledyard, Mystic, Stonington and Bozrah.

Training walks

The Training Walk is a focused 45-minute one-on-one walk that combines exercise with reward-based practice for leash manners, engagement, confidence, impulse control, recall foundations and everyday obedience, at a $60 training rate. Goals and handling needs are discussed before booking.

Other care

The signature Pack Hike is an on-leash small-group trail outing of about 60 active trail minutes with pickup, water, GPS tracking, photos and a report, at a $40 Pathfinder rate. Neighborhood walks ($25), woody walks, night walks, home and cat visits, limited daycare, nightcare and boarding for established dogs, home sitting and veterinary transport round out the services. Tom describes his approach as noticing what the dog is telling you, then responding, and he is PetSaver CPR, First Aid and Care certified through PetTech.
