About Kindred K9 Training and Behavioral Solutions

In-home training for Richmond-area families

Kindred K9 Training and Behavioral Solutions works with dogs and their families across the Richmond area. Trainer Melanie has over 15 years of training experience, according to the site, and covers basic training, in-home manners, manners about town, off-leash training and behavioral solutions.

Home School Program

The main program brings the trainer to your home Monday through Friday. She works with your dog on basic obedience and on behaviors like jumping, barking, chewing and nipping, and you don't need to be home for the daily lessons. At the end of each week she meets with you to hand the training over and sets weekend homework.

Other services

The Off Leash Program can be added to Home School for dogs headed for hikes, beaches or open yards. Private in-home lessons suit follow-up work or smaller problems. Off-site private lessons meet you at a park, the vet or wherever the problem shows up. Graduates can join pack walks in Richmond-area parks once or twice a month and social field trips to places like vineyards and breweries.

What to ask

There is no phone listed, so start with the contact form on the site. Ask how many weeks of Home School your dog likely needs and whether the off-leash program fits your dog.
