Balanced training from Lake Geneva

Aktiv Dog is a dog training provider based out of Lake Geneva. It describes its mission as strengthening the dog and human bond through balanced training principles, with training plans built around each dog's learning style, temperament and needs.

What it offers

Course options run from puppy classes to competitive dog sport. The FAQ covers loose leash training, building a reliable recall and work with aggressive dogs, which the site says its trainers have handled in hundreds of cases. Clients are encouraged to try outlets such as nose work, therapy work, hunting and competitive obedience. Reviews mention training in clients' homes.

Background

The owner and head trainer spent years working with police K9 teams, therapy dogs and other working dog programs, and still trains working dogs. The pet programs adapt those principles for everyday owners.
