About Anthony Jerone’s School Of Dog Training & Career Inc.

Anthony Jerone's School of Dog Training & Career sits on Francis Lewis Boulevard in Whitestone and is, by its own description, "the only New York dog training school licensed by the New York State Education Department's Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision." That dual character runs through everything on the site: the same building trains pet dogs and certifies the people who will train them.

The pet dog side

The published program list runs from housebreaking and everyday etiquette through behavior modification, obedience training and protection training. A doggie boot camp and a boarding-and-training option have their own pages, and the site states plainly that it takes dogs from eight weeks old through full-grown adults. The house line, printed at the top of the program page, is "We make BAD dogs GOOD and GOOD dogs BETTER."

The career academy

The second half of the business is a career school. It advertises a certification track for people who want to work professionally with dogs, with a published course outline, class schedule and enrollment page, and it states that it is approved by the New York State Bureau of Veterans Education for payment of VA education benefits on one of its programs. The site says its own trainers are all certified graduates of that academy.

Who teaches

Anthony Jerone is named as founder and master dog trainer and the developer of the program; the site also lists a master dog trainer, Shaina Saunders, with ten years of experience. A credentials page and a press page carry the school's history. Anyone contacting the school should note a banner on its own home page: the owners state they are looking to sell the business and ask interested parties to call.
