About Buddhahood Canine Behavior
Relationship-based training in Dallas
Buddhahood Canine Behavior (BCB) is a Dallas dog training business led by Nina Briese, who calls herself a friendly neighborhood dog coach. She grew up with dogs in rural Montana, became involved in rescue after moving to Dallas, founded Buddha and the Bull Rescue in 2019, and trained under mentors before starting on her own. BCB goes past obedience to address the root of a dog's behavior through dog psychology, focusing on the dog's state of mind with structure, boundaries and the right mental and physical exercise, at the dog's pace.
Programs
Private 1-on-1 training starts with a 90-minute consultation, with 3- and 6-session packages covering basic manners, the place command, thresholds, loose-leash walks and practicing calm. Board & Train begins with a mandatory 60-minute evaluation; the 4-week program covers markers, obedience, leash walking and relationship building, and the 6-week program adds off-leash reliability and, when applicable, a mini educator collar. Board & Train includes a drop-off session, a mid-program virtual session, a 2-4 hour go-home session and a follow-up in-home session. Virtual coaching runs on Zoom.
