Positive reinforcement with Lisa Allan
Club Canine, Inc. is a dog training and behavior consulting business in Brookfield led by Lisa Allan, ABCDT. Lisa says she has worked with dogs since 1997, and her bio credits her with over 20 years of experience. She holds a graduate degree in psychology, is a graduate and mentor of Animal Behavior College, a member of the APDT and the Pet Professional Guild, a Dog Bite Safety Educator through Doggone Safe, a "Be A Tree" presenter, a certified Fun Scents Games instructor, and an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and PPG's Pet Dog Ambassador program.
Method
Club Canine uses only up-to-date, scientifically supported positive methods: positive reinforcement, building a bond between owner and dog, and learning to read what the dog is communicating. It rules out choke, prong and electric collars. Its pages also cover topics such as socialization, reactivity, aggression, separation anxiety, puppies and the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.
Services and pricing
An initial consultation runs 100 to 185 dollars for a 60 to 90 minute meeting, and from there a personalized package is built around the number and length of sessions needed. Virtual private sessions of 30 and 60 minutes are offered, and Club Canine is available for events such as adoption events and fundraisers.
