About Focus K9 CT

Training that addresses the root cause

Focus K9 CT is a dog training business serving Newtown and the surrounding parts of Connecticut. Its stated view is that most training fails when it focuses on obedience without understanding behavior, so the team specializes in clarity, structure and mindset, aiming for dogs that can think and function under pressure.

Services

Obedience and lifestyle training builds reliable dogs matched to real lifestyles. Behavior modification addresses aggression, anxiety, reactivity and fear-based behaviors. Protection training offers controlled personal protection built on obedience, clarity and stability.

The team

Leonardo Palacio specializes in behavior modification, including complex and aggression-based cases, and brings 8 years of hands-on experience. His approach meets each dog halfway, stacking small wins and ending sessions on success. Zack Hollers has experience across many areas of the K9 industry and starts with a trusting relationship between dog and handler before working on behavior problems or advanced skills.
