About Cowboy K9 Training

What they offer

Cowboy K9 Training is a dog trainer at 16250 Co Rd 100 in Nunn, serving Northern Colorado. Its Start Smart Puppy Program is a two-week board and train focused on confidence, obedience and good habits through play. The standard board and train runs four to six weeks depending on the dog's obedience and behavior needs.

Private lessons are trainer-led and cover areas such as behavior modification, on-leash and off-leash obedience, tracking, detection and bird dog training, from leash manners to e-collar work. In-home lessons are aimed at problem behaviors in the house, including aggressive and nuisance behaviors. It also offers competition obedience, personal protection and sport dog training, and decoy work for Mondioring and IGP.

How they train

Under the tagline "Real Life Training for Real Life Dogs", the site says it teaches owners how to communicate with their dogs through clear and consistent training. It names Paul Salveson as the trainer who started Cowboy K9 and says he holds a TWC (Training Without Conflict) certification and competes in Mondioring, French Ring, IGP and AKC Obedience. David Livingston is listed as an apprentice trainer.
