About Every Dogs Home Away From Home

Every Dogs Home Away From Home is, in its own words, "a home-based boarding and training facility" in Columbia – the home page says "We service Columbia TN and all surrounding areas." Boarding is the larger half of the business and the training sits alongside it on the same property.

How training is sold

Training begins with an assessment: "All training starts with a consultation with you and an evaluation of your dog." That consultation is published and priced – "Basic in person consultations and evaluations generally take approximately an hour, our charge for this service is $100" – and the plan follows from it. Boarding is listed at "Boarding Per Night: $50" with photos and medication administration included.

What the training covers

The range claimed is wide and stated in a single sentence: "We provide all types of training for your canine from basic obedience, all the way through to working dog disciplines." The thinking behind it is stated just as briefly – the site says it approaches training with a philosophy that "one size doesn't fit all."

Who is behind it

The owner's background is published on the services page: "Owner, Steve, has been raising, training, and handling dogs for over 35 years. The majority of those years have been spent training law enforcement and diplomatic security canines throughout the United States, Iraq and South America." That is biography rather than a service menu, so ask directly if you want police-dog, detection or protection work.
