About Force Free Dale Dog Training
Who they are
Force Free Dale Dog Training (FFD) is a two-founder practice — Tori Parrelly, owner and behavior consultant, and Rachel Burger, co-founder and behavior consultant — "Serving clients in Metro Detroit, Michigan." A third behavior consultant, Megan Synk, works with the practice on a limited basis for virtual and in-person consultations while based in the Connecticut/New York area. The tagline is "The future is force free. Humane training by credentialed professionals."
Credentials
The certifications are listed in detail. Tori is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC, 2025), a L.E.G.S Applied Ethology Licensed Family Dog Mediator-Shelter Division (2025) and CBCC-KA (2020), has completed the Aggression in Dogs MasterCourse (2024) and is Fear Free Shelter Certified; she also works part-time at Oakland County Animal Control & Pet Adoption Center as a Volunteer Trainer. Rachel holds CBCC-KA (2022), Fear Free Shelter Certification (2021) and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (2024), and spent eight years as a special education teacher. Megan's list includes CBCC-KA, IAABC affiliate membership, Certified Trauma Informed Pet Professional and Sophia Yin's Low-Stress Handling Silver Level Certification.
Nosework classes
Scent work is the signature offering. FFD describes nosework as "a scent detection game that focuses on our dogs' natural abilities and talent," suitable for "dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and temperaments," and explicitly useful alongside behavior modification because "we're teaching coping skills and boosting confidence in nervous, fearful, and reactive dogs." Three programs run in sequence: Primary Searchers Drop-In for beginners, generally hosted at Scrubbers Self-Serve Dog Wash in Royal Oak; a four-week Intro to Odor hybrid class transitioning to birch, anise and clove oil, held around Royal Oak and Livonia, requiring a minimum of three Primary Searchers drop-ins first; and Odor Outing Drop-In classes held outdoors in varied locations in Southeastern Michigan. Behavior consulting, educational webinars and Sniff & Go events are also offered.
