About GAK9 Wisconsin-America’s Premier Dog Trainer

GAK9 Wisconsin is the Wauwatosa branch of Georgia K9 NTC (GAK9). Its Facebook page, which trades as Georgia K9 NTC Wisconsin Branch, describes it as a "Specialist in Law Enforcement and SAR K9 Trailing & Tracking in Wisconsin and Illinois."

Police and search-and-rescue trailing

Most of the work is with working K9 teams: trailing and tracking for law enforcement and search and rescue. The branch says it "will travel to train K9 teams in MI, MN, IN and IA."

Weekend training for pet owners

Civilians can train too. The page offers "Weekend training open to civilians looking for a fun and challenging activity with their dog." This is trailing as a sport, so ask what a weekend session involves and whether your dog needs any training first.

The trainer

The branch's trainer page on tttk9.com says the trainer started in mantrailing in 2008 with a Wisconsin search and recovery team, has trained in the GAK9 style since then, has helped prepare several K9-handler teams to certify, and has studied obedience and detection within GAK9 since 2017.
