About Gentle Guidance Dog Training Santa Clarita

What they offer

Gentle Guidance Dog Training is the practice of Nicole Wilde, a certified professional dog trainer and canine behavior specialist with more than 25 years of experience and the author of eleven books on canine behavior. It describes itself as Santa Clarita's hometown trainer.

Services

The practice works with puppies, adolescents and adult dogs on puppy problems such as potty training, nipping, chewing and jumping, on basic through advanced obedience, and on assessment and behavior modification for fear, separation anxiety, aggression and other issues. Training has been offered privately in clients' homes, without requiring a block of sessions. The home page currently says the practice is not taking in-person clients and asks owners to call about Zoom consultations, which are available anywhere.

Method

The trainer uses positive, reward-based methods with no choke chains, shock collars or harsh physical corrections.
