About Good Neighbor Canine Co

Great dogs make good neighbors

Good Neighbor Canine Co serves Lake County, IL and surrounding counties, and builds its whole pitch around one idea: "great dogs make good neighbors". The home page frames the problem in neighborhood terms – the dog barking nonstop, jumping on guests or causing chaos in the yard – and says the business exists to step in and help, whether the dog came from a breeder, a rescue or a shelter and whether it is a brand-new puppy or a full-grown adult.

How they work

The site describes its method as balanced training aimed at behavior transformation, delivered through in-home lessons and private lessons so owners get what it calls real-world results. It is open seven days a week, 9am to 8pm, and takes enquiries through a contact form and by phone.

Who is behind it

The about page names Mark and Davie, who it says have built their lives and their company around dogs and family, with their children helping reinforce manners and boundaries at home. It states that Mark retired from the Army in 2022 after 20 years of service, and credits the discipline, leadership and calm-under-pressure mindset from that career with shaping how he works with dogs and explains training to owners. Davie is described as working behind the scenes, keeping the business running and supporting families through the process. The site labels the business veteran owned and operated.
