What they offer

Heavenly Dog Obedience runs group classes at its training building on East Indiana Avenue in Spokane Valley, along with private lessons at the facility and online classes. Group classes meet for about 45 minutes a week over five weeks and include Puppy Kindergarten, Beginning Basic, Puppy Star, Intermediate, Adventure Dog, Rally and Canine Good Citizen; graduates can drop in on a class they have already taken for a tune-up.

Puppies and online classes

Puppies can start online classes as soon as they come home: the trainer sends class notes and weekly videos covering no bite, off, sit, down and relax, potty training, stays, leash walking and heel, waiting at doors, coming when called and loose-leash walking. In-person group classes require puppies to be over twelve weeks with at least two sets of vaccinations confirmed by a vet. The FAQ explains that classes matter because they socialize a dog with other people and dogs in new surroundings, and it encourages the whole family to take part.
