About Hippy Pups
A pet ranch in Southwest Ranches
Hippy Pups is a family-run dog lodging, daycare and training center in Southwest Ranches, set on a natural ranch where dogs can run, play and socialize outdoors. Its team is led by Erika Pérez Roa, a professional animal photographer described as having over 15 years of experience in pet care, alongside her husband Diego. Besides boarding and daycare it offers grooming, pet photography, transportation and an online shop.
Training
Training starts with a roughly 1.5-hour initial assessment that reviews the dog's environment, routine and relationship with its handler and begins a first practical session. The 14-day board and train covers kennel habituation, leash practice in a residential area, six basic commands (sit, down, stay, break, heel and place), controlled socialization and behavior work, plus two owner classes at the training center and two in-home sessions, with a bath included. The extended board and train adds command practice in public places such as malls and dog parks, impulse control and leash work in busy areas. Puppy training focuses on early socialization, basic obedience, anxiety control and preventing chewing, barking and jumping. Personalized plans of 6 to 12 sessions, 30- to 45-minute structured walks and a daycare-with-agility day with a trainer round it out.
What owners say
One client wrote that their dogs "had a blast on her large property."
