About Suburban K9 Dog Training
In-home and board-and-train programs
Suburban K9 Miami serves Miami and the surrounding suburbs with in-home private training, virtual lessons and board and train programs. In-home lessons give one-on-one access to a trainer at the owner's home and can be tailored to any goal. In the board and train boot camp, a dog lives with one of the trainers, and the team handles pick-up and drop-off and follows up with training in the owner's home. A free virtual consultation helps owners pick a program. The Miami team also takes dogs out to train in varied settings, such as the botanical gardens.
Training approach
In a training article, the team explains that a deaf dog is trained much like a hearing dog, using standard obedience hand signals, spoken commands and later a vibrating collar to get the dog's attention for off-leash work.
What owners say
Tory Morris wrote that trainer Lilliana Rodriguez was "SO patient and sweet with our dog" after three earlier trainers. Another owner described a one-year package with Lili for two littermate puppies that ended with both dogs calm at a busy dog park event.
