About Improving Pets

Services

Three services are published. "Clicker-Training" – "We utilize clicker-training to help your pets become confident in themselves. We focus on positive reinforcement and making training fun for you and your pets." "Training walks" – "One on one training with our trainer and your pets. Our trainer will work specifically on helping your pet learn to walk nicely on a loose leash." And "Private In-home Training", which starts with "an in-home consultation to evaluate your pets and the environment for training" before "a personal training plan will be created".

Approach

The practice reframes the usual intake question: "Most trainers ask: 'What is your pet doing wrong?' We ask: 'What would you like your pet to do?'" The published mission is "to improve the family-pet bond and their environment" through "clicker training, positive reinforcement and management".

Where they work

The site publishes "Mailing Address / 1676 Thenia Pl. / Woodbridge / VA 22192" – a mailing address rather than a facility, since the work is done at the client's home.

Good to know

The business trades on its own site as FurEver Family, LLC while its listing reads Improving Pets. Both names refer to the same operation.
