About Jazzy Pawz-n-Wagz Dog Training LLC

Jazzy Pawz-n-Wagz in Port St. Lucie

Jazzy Pawz-n-Wagz Dog Training LLC is run by Nanette, a Port St. Lucie positive reinforcement trainer who works solely through private lessons. She graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2016 as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer, is a member of the APDT and the Pet Professional Guild, and says she has been dog training for 10 years, including shelter and rescue work.

Method

Nanette uses science-based, reward-based, force-free training: clicker work, capturing, shaping and luring, front clip harnesses or flat buckle collars, and desensitization and counterconditioning for reactivity. Her philosophy is that a dog should never be punished into or for a behavior, and that training is about building trust rather than control.

Services

Basic Manners runs from the name game and sit to loose leash walking, recall and field trips. Behavior Adjustment addresses reactivity, separation distress, fear of sounds or storms, resource guarding and jumping, and Next Level training adds off-leash work and freestyle recall. Dog walking and sitting are also available.

What owners say

The owner of two rescue dogs wrote that "in just a matter of weeks" the dogs were "behaving beautifully."
