About JH Positive Training

What they offer

JH Positive Training has helped people and dogs in the Jackson area live happily together since 1996, using understanding and kindness with no force and no pain. Two trainers share the work, and initial phone consults are free. Many sessions run virtually, which the trainers recommend for puppy raising, housetraining, settling in a newly adopted dog and as a first step before in-person work.

Behavior help and specialty training

Behavior challenge consults address aggression and reactivity toward people or other dogs, anxiety, fear, resource guarding, conflict between dogs in one household and separation distress, starting with a foundations session and a plan built for each family. The team also runs group classes, newly adopted dog support, therapy dog preparation and evaluation coaching, and force-free field training for retrievers and pointers, which is offered in western Wyoming and eastern Idaho only. Puppy stays and sleepovers let young puppies board with a trainer and keep up housetraining and confidence-building while their owners travel.
