About Powder Hounds Pet Services

What they offer

Powder Hounds is a Jackson Hole dog training and pack hiking business built around three ideas: calm, consistent and confident. The trainers focus on teaching the owner as much as the dog, so people leave able to keep the training going themselves. Every program is custom and starts with a free phone consultation.

Training options

Private sessions begin with an in-person assessment in your home, where your dog is comfortable, and a package of longer private sessions builds a foundation and a training plan you work on together. Pack hike preparation meets twice a week for a month to get a dog ready to join the group, and pack walks spend about two hours on the trail practicing walking, sitting, coming when called and playing politely around other dogs. Clients outside the usual service range pay an added travel charge, so mention where you live when you call.
