JN Dog Training's home page introduces the trainer by first name only: "My name is Jessica, my dog's name is Lyle, and we are a competing working team." The service area is printed at the foot of the home page as "Green Bay – De Pere – Suamico."

The approach

The site sells itself on where the training happens rather than on a philosophy label: "Our goal is to train your dog to be as well-mannered and as happily obedient as possible. We won't be training in a classroom, we will be training where you're going to use the listening skills we teach. Training for the real world in real life settings is the best way to ensure your dog will listen in and out of the competition ring, in the dog park, and while all of those pesky daily distractions are happening around them." The training page frames private work the same way: "The great thing about private dog training is that we can work on exactly what you and your dog need… What we do is mesh those two things together as best as possible to create seamless communication between you and your dog."

What you can book, and what it costs

The training page prices everything it lists.

– **Puppy Protocol** – "Potty training, socialization, sit, down, stay, leave it, basic recall and much more… This is for puppies 6 months or younger." Sessions "can be scheduled 1 to 4 times per week" and "will range from 45 to 60 minutes." Price: "$70 per session. Your first session is $40."

– **Adult Amenities** – "Basic Recall, basic off leash heeling, more difficult sits and downs, extended stays, out of site stays, basic manners," for "dogs 6 months to 6 years old," at the same published rate.

– **Old Dogs & New Tricks** – "any basic obedience commands and work on manners of your choosing," for "dogs 6 years and older," at the same published rate.

– **Loose Leash** – "Heeling on leash or heeling off leash. We will work on no pulling, tugging, lunging, or unwanted walking behaviors," same rate.

– **Relentless Recall** – "Teaching your dog to come when called in challenging and distracting environments. If your dog learns difficult recalls quickly, we'll move onto recall + sit when called," same rate.

– **Bad Behaviors Consultation** – "$200 for a complete consultation about the behavior, written description of how to handle the behavior, recommendations on training and any potential tools, and 1 follow up session." The consultation "can range from 1 to 2 hours." A follow-on sessions package covers behaviors listed as "Separation Anxiety Social Anxiety Fear Aggression Dominance Aggression Jumping & Play Biting."

A limit the site sets itself

The consultation entry states a boundary in plain terms: "This can include reactive dogs, but I do not work with dogs who have physically harmed other dogs or people. For recommendations on aggressive dog behavior and appropriate trainers, feel free to contact me!"
