About K-9 SERVICES

What they offer

K-9 Services is an Edgewood business that trains working dog teams and their instructors, owned and operated by Kevin Sheldahl, who has more than 30 years of experience training law enforcement officers, corrections officers and military handlers and their dogs. It works with teams throughout the United States.

Training

The business specializes in dual-purpose patrol and detection teams. Training covers detection of narcotics, contraband, explosives and human remains, tracking, search and rescue, patrol work and tactical operations. Typical candidate dogs include German Shepherds, Malinois, Dutch Shepherds and field breeds.

Education

K-9 Services also runs seminars, including e-collar education, and prepares handlers to serve as expert witnesses. Its instructors bring field, tactical and investigative experience. Departments can ask for instructor resumes and lists of teams trained.
