K-9 University is a dog training, boarding, grooming and daycare business with facilities in Garland and Plano, serving Garland and Plano since 1993 and families in Dallas, Frisco, Allen, Richardson and Mesquite. It was founded by president Chuck Bratt and describes itself as locally owned and operated for over 30 years, with certified trainers on staff.

Training

Training covers obedience, anxiety, aggression and reactive dogs, puppy foundations and socialization, with on-leash and off-leash obedience. Trainers use positive reinforcement techniques. Private lessons and group classes follow the board-and-train program, group sessions meet at the Plano and Garland facilities, and in-home one-on-one sessions suit dogs with specific behavior issues or anxiety in unfamiliar places. Packages combine boarding and training.

Other services

Resort-style boarding, cage-free daycare with temperament-evaluated playgroups and a full grooming salon are also offered.
