A working dog facility in Nisland

Kobberdahl K9 / Billabong Border Collies is a working dog training facility in Nisland, near Belle Fourche, "where prairie and mountains meet." It specializes in Border Collies and other livestock herding breeds and also does limited breeding of Border Collies and German Shepherds. Owners Steve and Tracy Miller Kobberdahl run the business, with Steve as business manager and Tracy training every dog herself.

The trainer

Tracy has been professionally training, showing and trialing dogs for over 30 years. She is an AKC Judge in Rally Obedience and Herding, has given clinics, seminars and demonstrations across the country, and holds a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in genetics. Dog behavior modification is her specialty, and teaching humans to speak the dog language is her stated passion.

Training offered

Board and train programs cover obedience, stockdog and herding work, and show dog titling. Classes include beginner and advanced obedience, agility, rally obedience and herding clinics for all breeds in the Black Hills area, following a class schedule.
